More about Kathy

Just as quoted so many times, “Behind every good man is a great woman,” Kathy is an incredible woman helping her husband to serve as God has called him. She served as a volunteer on staff in Houston from 1982 until they relocated to Moss Bluff, LA. Her love for children was utilized through her work in children and youth ministry. Serving the Lord at every opportunity, as needed.
When they relocated to Moss Bluff in ’88 Kathy brought her experience, knowledge and love of people with her in continuing to serve the Lord.
Kathy has a full schedule, yet is always there for anyone in need of prayer or an encouraging word. Her love of God radiates to others in kindness and gentleness. She is a servant of God no matter the task. In a moment’s notice she can switch from the nursery to report writing and everything in between. (Just keeping Pastor Steve on target with his appointments could be a full time job in of itself.)
She loves the outdoors and taking time to enjoy her plants and the beauty of God’s creatures.
Kathy’s quick wit can have you laughing at things in a way you never thought of before.
She is a great cook and prepares even greater deserts (we know this because she shares… Love that!).
When you need prayer or someone to talk to, Kathy has some sound words that she absolutely believes…
”God is bigger than this!”

More about Ember

She is the baby in the Cox home. Sure, as the baby, she gets special attention and of course gets away with more than the other children could. Ember is given love of a different kind.
Ember’s schedule is relaxed and flexible. Her area of interest is her food, treats and a lot of lap time. She is a free giver of love and kisses. Her time is spent on pillows near or on Pastor Steve or Kathy’s desk. She is carefree and enjoys her playtime until the doorbell rings. At that point she immediately performs her duty of announcing the arrival of guests. From her point of view, she is part of the family and must greet you first at the door. Need I mention how cute and adorable she is?
She my be a tiny creature of God and referred to as “man’s best friend” but Ember has lessons from God to apply in our daily lives:
She trusts her master for her every need.
She loves unconditionally.
She has things (stuff) of her own like toys, pillows and her favorite blanket.
But her heart is set on her master.
Amazing isn’t it to see Jesus’ lessons of Love, Friendship, Family and Trust in the Master (The Most High God) is more valuable than any “stuff”.
