Salvation is not something that we can do ourselves, but accepting what GOD has done for us. We only believe in our hearts and confess with our mouth that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and on the third day after his death he rose again fully alive from the grave. HE did that for us!!!

Pastor Steve's testimony
Pastor Steve was born and raised in northern Ohio and was headed for a career after graduating high school in tool and die and architectural design with a 3.8 grade average. But that all went away when he started in his journey of substance abuse. He actually started at the age of 14 but it escalated by the time he left home and went to college. For the next several years he fell deeper into the drug usage and a lifestyle that was leading him to a darker and darker place. Then when a friend came back from Vietnam and shared his testimony of how Christ had changed his life in the middle of that war and that he no longer had to live like that Steve came to a saving knowledge of Jesus as his personal savior. Since then, Steve got married 3 days after that experience and has been with his first wife for the past 53 years. Steve and his wife Kathy started attending church where they grew in Christ were discipled and became an active member and in leadership for the next 10 years. They then moved to Houston to be on staff as youth pastor served there for the next 5 years when he then traveled for a year with Dr. Hilton Sutton before taking the pastorate here in Moss Bluff La. and have been here for the past 36 years growing a wonderful congregation. In that 36 years Pastor Steve served as a chaplain with the sheriff's office for over 27 years and earned a bachelor's degree in religious education and developed a program approved by the courts and probation and parole for offenders. Steve and Kathy are excited what God is doing and looking forward to being a part of ushering in His soon coming return.
